On July 11, 2015, seventeen year old Macayla Guffin went missing at a high school party in Lyman, Idaho.The police investigation that followed suggested she had run away to her home state of California.


Unconvinced, Macayla's mother enlists the help of ex-private investigator, Samuel Harper. Sam, who wants nothing more than to live a quiet life in his distillery in Seattle, finds himself at the mercy of an old debt and reluctantly agrees to help her.
